I’m scribblicious

I’m trying desperately to not get sick this week. Today I’ve been totally wiped and fighting a sore throat. The only thing I can say I accomplished is that I got my wedding ring back from the jeweler. I took an hour long nap and barely woke in time to get J from preschool. Methinks my body is telling me to slow the heck down.

Which I shall do, just as soon as I thank Dawn at Weldable Cookies for this:

superior-scribbler-award

I’m scribblicious, and I wish I could figure out how to put these blingy awards in my sidebar. Thhhhhpppppppp on you, WordPress!

The rules are (as copied directly from the site):

  • Each Superior Scribbler must in turn pass The Award on to 5 most-deserving Bloggy Friends.
  • Each Superior Scribbler must link to the author & the name of the blog from whom he/she has received The Award.
  • Each Superior Scribbler must display The Award on his/her blog, and link to This Post, which explains The Award.
  • Each Blogger who wins The Superior Scribbler Award must visit this post and add his/her name to the Mr. Linky List. That way, we’ll be able to keep up-to-date on everyone who receives This Prestigious Honor!
  • Each Superior Scribbler must post these rules on his/her blog.

If you haven’t toddled on over to Dawn‘s site, well, you’re missing out. She and I couldn’t possibly be any more different, but I love to read what she writes. She makes me think. And I like to think, though I might whine about it.

So I need to pass this along to five other Superior Scribblers. And that’s gonna be tough. Hm.

Kim at Hormone Colored Days. She lives near my hometown, and we both think we might have crossed paths at one time. When she writes about her sons I just sit here and nod my head; she’s a few years ahead in this journey of raising gifted/2e kids, and it’s great to know I might just survive.

Anne at My Tiny Kingdom. She has three boys (sensing a theme here?) and the stories she has of those three sometimes just have me in stitches. And, again, I appreciate knowing I likely won’t leave my sons in a ditch on a bad day.

Kelley at Magneto Bold Too. Kelley is one hot Aussie with great stories of shoes, chocolate, and ninjas. I taunt her with my Crocs. Drives her batsnot crazy. She needs to behave or I’m sending her a pair of clogs. The ones with the fleece lining. In orange. Snapped full of Jibbitz.

Denise at EatPlayLove. A bloggy friend who has become an In Real Life friend. Eventually A will meet her oldest daughter, and then we’ll have to batten down the hatches, for although they are 2 years apart, they both have that intense love of life and charisma that is exhausting fantastic to watch.

Angie at KEEP BELIEVING. If you haven’t read her, you need to. Now. She writes of her family’s struggles and triumphs with her husband’s brain tumor. She writes with such depth and clarity and I just want to reach out and hug her and her family.

Ok, that took slightly longer than I anticipated and now I’m going to go lie down. I should go outside…because it is 71 degrees here today. In November. In Colorado. Yes, I am thrilled. No, it won’t last; it’s supposed to be miserable at the end of the week. Today was it until spring.

The couch calls…
